  16.       The _d_s_d_m manages a database of all drop sites    on the
  17.       display. When    a drag operation is started, the _d_s_d_m is
  18.       queried for a    list of    the drop sites.    This drop site
  19.       information is used by the dragging application to identify
  20.       drop sites and provide user feedback during the drag
  21.       operation.

  23.       The _d_s_d_m provides a drag-and-drop gateway between Motif and
  24.       OPENLOOK applications.  When an object is dropped on a drop
  25.       site,    the _d_s_d_m gets a    drop message from the drop sender
  26.       application. The _d_s_d_m    then translates    the drop message, and
  27.       sends    the translated message to the drop receiver
  28.       application.
